END ALL FORMS OF DEHUMANIZATION, PROMOTE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE – HON. IBEKWE NNAMDI CHIMDI (OZIOMACHI)  History bears painful scars of human suffering caused by oppression, slavery, and the denial of fundamental rights. One such tragedy that continues to echo across generations is the 1803 Igbo Landing on St. Simon’s Island, Georgia, USA, where a group of enslaved Igbos, brought forcefully from West Africa, chose death over bondage by walking into the waters in defiance of their captors. That act of courage and ultimate sacrifice remains a timeless symbol of resistance against dehumanization. Drawing lessons from this history, Hon. Ibekwe Nnamdi Chimdi, popularly known as OziomaChi, has called for an urgent end to all forms of dehumanization and for the full promotion of fundamental human rights of the people. According to him, the tragedy of the past must inspire the pursuit of justice, dignity, and freedom in the present. “Humanity must not continue to repeat the...

UNCOMMON WAYS: UNIQUE GREATNESS -OZIOMACHI. ‎

Image
UNCOMMON WAYS: UNIQUE  GREATNESS -OZIOMACHI. ‎ ‎*Things considered conventional were once unconventional* ‎ ‎Historically, human reality and achievements have been defined by adherence and adaptation to conventionally identified or prescribed principles, rules, methods, practices, procedures, and patterns. Inherently, anything unconventional or antithetical is suspiciously considered out of place. Quite outlandish and unacceptable. Therefore,  for the benefit of this piece, l have chosen to use the term common for unique conventional and familiar things and uncommon for the unknown, unconventional, un-unique, unfamiliar patterns for easy comprehension. Common implies something that is common, often seen, experienced, or practised by many people. Common things are often considered normal or expected. For example, common knowledge or experiences are known, shared among a large group of people. Uncommon things, on the other hand, are something that is rare. It is not often ...

Politics-Administration Dichotomy: The Power of Institutionalisation-OziomaChi.

Image
Politics-Administration Dichotomy: The Power of Institutionalisation-OziomaChi. In the late 19th century, Woodrow Wilson (1887) proposed the principle of politics-administration dichotomy as a solution to the inefficiencies of the American spoil system. This era was marked by widespread nepotism, bureaucratic pathology, and primitive prebendalism, resulting in administrative inefficiency and stunted development. Wilson's concept aimed to address these issues by separating politics from administration. The politics-administration dichotomy posits that politics should focus on policy formulation, while administration should concentrate on policy implementation. This separation of functions would enable politicians and administrators to operate within distinct realms, eliminating overlapping roles and promoting efficiency. Politics at its core involves making policies that reflect the will of the people, while administration involves executing these policies without political interfe...
